TORONTO REHAB
February 15, 2012, 5pm
meet at the west (back) entrance of 550 University Ave

This is the first event in our new Field Trip series. The series will highlight the prototyping and small-scale manufacturing capabilities in the city. If you are interested in joining us for future events please subscribe to the ThingTank newsletter.

In this trip Alex Mihalidis will be guiding a tour of Toronto Rehab. We hope to get a view of:
1) Homelab, a “home” built in a laboratory setting which is used to create and test new tools and technologies that assist people to live independently within their homes.
2) Toronto Rehab’s prototyping facility which has a variety of tools and equipment for making concepts, parts, and prototypes
3) A 4-story motion simulator area which is used to recreate environments such as icy streets or even high speed winds.

Come our and meet designers, makers, and technical experts in the city!
